What’s that got to do with Ultimate? Easy. While you and I are out on the field struggling not to trip over our own cleats, Klaus has got an encyclopedic understanding of collegiate athletics just kickin’ around in the old noggin. When he runs, he runs like the fastest Northwestern sprinter James Golliday (Class of ’54), and when he jumps, he’s getting up there with pole vault legend Mike Murray (Class of ’86). And you know I’m only including these guys’ names for our sake, because Klaus could fire these facts at you like Northwestern Women’s Rifle Team Superstar Jessie Cook (Class of ’24).
When all’s said and done, Klaus is a force on field. He’s a sharp-cutting snake in the grass and a level-headed handler. BOLT’s better for having him, and I hope he’s getting the radio coverage he deserves.
