What makes a frisbee player big? Some say it’s their heart, their play on the field, or their stature. For Peter Seymour, colloquially known and loved as “Big Vlad,” it’s an undeniable combination of the three. BV has incredible talents and wisdom, plus a freak-of-nature, terrifying-to-defend ability to contort into any catching position. When a defender is done giggling at his shock of red hair, they often find themselves grabbing at his large, pale heels.
Because Vlad is large. Once described by an opposing team’s fan as “Big as f*ck and tall as hell,” Peter is a towering stack of good vibes. He has become a cheerful, necessary pillar of the team. Big Vlad has lifted himself and his teammates to ever-greater heights.
Now, it’s almost the end of the Seymour Era of Northwestern Ultimate. He made us all bigger along the way.
