1996 Season

In 1995, the team stayed under the leadership of Mike and Lawrence, but had a new name Thirsty For Vomit. Turnout was good early on and brought out some solid players in John Tamari, Matt Ewell, and Erik LeShane. At practices and tournaments, Lawrence began calling the team “a bunch of monkeys” and after a few beers, and discussion, the team became the Vomit Monkeys. The team competed well this year and finished third in sectionals, advancing to regionals in the second year after the rebirth of the team. The team lost in regionals, but got to play with some great teams. At the end of this season, Mike and Lawrence both graduated. Lawrence moved on to club level play, but Mike still had two years of eligibility left and would be attending Med School at Northwestern, leaving him with the ability to play for the team.
