Raul is a freshman hailing from San Francisco, CA. Not unlike Tony Bennett, who left his heart in San Francisco, Raul left his alarm clock in the city by the bay, often causing a bit of exasperation for people travelling with him. On the other hand, it seems like he brought a polo shirt for ever 3 that Steph has ever made, so it’s probably not a packing space issue. Like many successful NUT players of yesteryear, Raul had little prior playing experience, but that didn’t stop him from getting big in the air and on D for the duration of the season while guarding some pretty tough matchups. His throwing prowess has grown over the course of the year, and if he keeps it up he’ll soon be a nightmare on offense as well. We just have to hope that his vocabulary makes the transition from middle schooler on Xbox to college student sometime in the next 3 years.
